DE SEKS BRODRE - North Sea Coast

De Seks Brødre isn't about deep dives or dramatic drop-offs. It’s about history, accessibility, and a surprisingly vibrant shallow wreck. We love this site for its sheer convenience – just 6 metres deep, making it perfect for newer divers, snorkelers, or anyone wanting a relaxed second dive. The wreck itself, a Danish motor vessel that ran aground in 1946, is well-broken but still very recognisable. You can trace its skeletal remains, seeing the engine block and scattered ribs of the hull. What makes it special for us is how marine life has absolutely taken over. Crabs scuttle through the nooks, blennies peer from every crevice, and the metalwork is draped in anemones and hydroids. Visibility here can vary, but on a good day, the sunlight filters beautifully through the kelp, illuminating the wreck and the shoals of small fish darting about. We’d suggest going at high slack tide to get the calmest conditions, though the current is rarely strong enough to be a real issue. It's a proper wreck dive, just without the need for advanced certs or serious bottom time.
