DISPONIBEL - North Sea Coast

The motor vessel *Disponibel* isn't your average North Sea wreck. We rate it a standout for a reason. Lying just 13 metres down, this historical wreck is remarkably intact, sitting upright on a sand bottom. We love the way the light filters through the green-blue water, creating an almost ethereal glow over the ironwork. You can really get a sense of its past, tracing the outline of the deck and imagining the crew. The *Disponibel* is just big enough to explore without feeling overwhelmed, a perfect dive for those who appreciate history and macro life. Schools of cod and pollock often hover above the superstructure, darting into the shadows as you approach. Look closely, and you'll find an abundance of anemones, sea stars, and nudibranchs clinging to every surface. Our favourite detail? The way the kelp has started to grow like a wild beard from the bow, swaying gently with the surge. Visibility can be variable here, so we always check the forecast for calm seas and incoming tides; that's when you get the best light and the clearest water. It's a proper wreck dive, full of atmosphere.
