Ebeltoft Sportsdykkerklub might not be the first spot you think of for diving, but it’s got a real charm. We love the chill vibe here. It’s perfect for a relaxed dive, maybe a bit of macro photography, or just getting wet without a big production. You’re looking at a soft bottom site, which means different critters than your typical reef. Think four-bearded rockling poking out from under rocks, a whole host of whelks marching across the sand, and the North Sea Tube Anemone waving its tentacles. We've often found ourselves watching common scoters and eiders diving down, then spotting a harbour porpoise in the distance when we surface. Keep an eye out for Sea potatoes and the bristly Sea mouse too. It’s a gentle place, often with decent visibility on a calm day, especially if you get in before the afternoon breeze picks up. Our pick for a quiet morning dive, then lunch in town.

    Safety Notes

Cold water this month (avg 13°C). Drysuit or thick wetsuit (7mm+) recommended.
