ELAK - North Sea Coast
The Elak, a motor vessel that sank after a collision in 1966, rests upright at 28 metres, a solid dive for those keen on wreck exploration off Denmark’s North Sea Coast. She's a good size, offering plenty of nooks and crannies to peer into, though penetration isn't really the game here. What we like about the Elak is how the local marine life has really moved in: expect to see cod, conger eels, and often a decent showing of crabs tucked into the structure. Conditions can be typical North Sea, meaning variable visibility and sometimes a decent current, so this one is better suited for divers comfortable in less predictable environments. We’d suggest a slack tide for the best chance to really take your time exploring.
