ELLEN - North Sea Coast
The wreck of the fishing vessel *Ellen* lies in a shallow eight metres, making her a really accessible North Sea dive. She went down in September 1940 and now sits nicely broken up, offering plenty of nooks and crannies to poke around. You'll find the usual suspects here – crabs scuttling over plates of metal, the occasional flatfish camouflaged against the sand, and small schools of fish darting in and out of the structure. It’s a good little dive for newer wreck enthusiasts, or just for knocking out a relaxed second tank. Visibility can be hit or miss, typical of the area, so we’d suggest picking a calm day with an incoming tide if you can.
