FANNY - North Sea Coast
The Fanny, a schooner that went down in 1948, now rests upright on the seabed at 16 metres. It's a relatively shallow wreck, making it an accessible dive for many, but don't let that fool you into thinking it's uneventful. Over the decades, the wreck has become a solid habitat, drawing in schools of pollack and cod that weave through the remaining structure. We’ve spotted plenty of crabs and lobsters tucked into crevices too. It’s a good spot for a relaxed exploration, poking around the bow and stern, seeing how the North Sea has reclaimed this old vessel. Visibility can be a bit variable here, so it’s worth picking a calm day to make the most of it.
