GRAV - North Sea Coast
The trawler GRAV, sitting at a shallow five metres off the North Sea coast, is a proper slice of history. Sunk back in 1928, it’s now well broken up, but you can still make out the hull sections and machinery scattered across the sandy bottom. We find it’s a site that really comes alive with the local fish, particularly the flatfish settled in the sand around the wreckage and the occasional cod peering out from under a plate. It’s a nice easy dive, shallow enough for long bottom times and suits anyone keen on wreck photography or just an unhurried poke around a piece of maritime past.
