HEKLA - North Sea Coast
The Hekla is a small fishing vessel, sunk after a collision right in Rudkøbing Harbour. It's not a deep dive at all, barely below the surface, which means it’s perfect for a leisurely explore, especially if you’re new to wreck diving or just want a relaxed afternoon in the water. We’ve found plenty of small crabs scuttling over the deck plates, and various juvenile fish darting amongst the twisted metal. It’s a good spot to practice buoyancy in a sheltered environment, with sunlight often dappling through the harbour water, illuminating the wreck clearly.
