With 95+ marine species recorded in the area - including seals & sea lions, sea turtles and jellyfish lake - Hesteskoen offers some of North Sea Coast's richest reef diving. Water ranges 3-19°C, warmest July, August, September.
Hesteskoen, off the North Sea Coast, offers a different flavour of diving. We've often found poor cod tucked into crevices here, alongside the butterfish and little black gobies. It’s not the colourful coral spectacle you might find further south, but there’s a quiet beauty to the rocky reef, especially when you spot a curious snake blenny or a four-bearded rockling darting past. If you're keen to explore the cooler waters and observe the hardier species that thrive in the North Sea, Hesteskoen provides a solid dive.
