INTERESSENTEN - North Sea Coast

Interessenten is a wreck with a story, and that’s why we love it. This isn't some pristine, intact vessel; it’s a dangerous wreck scattered across the seabed at 16 meters, a result of a 1941 collision. You’ll find broken sections of hull, twisted metal, and machinery strewn about, creating a fascinating landscape for exploration. The real draw here is how marine life has absolutely taken over. Crabs scuttle over the steel plates, cod peer out from crevices, and schools of pollock drift lazily through the wreckage, almost completely unafraid. We’ve even seen the occasional inquisitive seal darting past. Visibility can be a real wildcard on the North Sea coast, so pick your day carefully; calm conditions are your friend here. We'd suggest checking local reports for minimal swell before heading out. This site really suits divers who appreciate history and the rugged beauty of a wreck reclaimed by the sea. It’s a site for contemplation, for imagining the history, rather than just ticking off species. Come with a good light and take your time; there are always new details to uncover.
