JOHNNY LISBETH - North Sea Coast

The Johnny Lisbeth sits upright at 15 metres, a proper fishing vessel now completely colonised. We love how the nets, still tangled and draped, create this ghostly, almost eerie atmosphere as you descend. It’s a great dive for those who enjoy a bit of history with their marine life, offering plenty of nooks and crannies to explore without demanding advanced wreck penetration skills. You'll quickly notice the sheer number of crabs scuttling over the decking and hiding in every crevice – big edible crabs, mostly, sometimes even a few lobsters if you have a keen eye. Schools of cod and pollock often hover above the superstructure, their silver bodies catching the filtered light. Our favourite spot is usually around the wheelhouse, where the visibility often feels a touch clearer and the sheer density of growth is impressive. We'd suggest checking the tides; slack water makes for a much more relaxed dive here, letting you really take your time examining the details without fighting a current. It's a genuinely atmospheric wreck, a true snapshot of a moment in time beneath the waves.
