KAJ - North Sea Coast
KAJ is a shallow wreck site off the North Sea Coast, sitting at just six metres. It’s the remains of a steamship, sunk by a mine in 1943, and what’s left of it spreads across the seabed. You won't find a fully intact vessel here; instead, think of it as a scattering of metal plates and the ship’s skeleton, now home to all sorts of critters. We often spot crabs scuttling over the twisted metal and small schooling fish darting between the beams. It’s a good spot for newer wreck divers or anyone looking for a relaxed dive, especially on a calm day when visibility picks up. Just be mindful of the currents; they can be a bit frisky out here.
