KAKVA - North Sea Coast
The Kakva is a good North Sea wreck, sitting at a comfortable 12 metres, making it accessible for most divers. She went down in 1943, a steamship now well-integrated into the seabed, with a good growth of anemones and hydroids coating the metalwork. You can follow the length of the hull, spotting flatfish tucked into the sand nearby and decent-sized cod patrolling the deeper sections. It’s a solid dive for anyone looking for a piece of history and some calmer North Sea conditions, especially when the visibility plays ball. Keep an eye out for crabs and lobsters making homes in the broken sections.
