With 95+ marine species recorded in the area - including seals & sea lions, sea turtles and jellyfish lake - KIAN offers some of North Sea Coast's richest wreck diving. Water ranges 3-19°C, warmest July, August, September.
The KIAN, a fishing vessel, sits upright at a modest 15 meters, making it quite accessible for most divers. We found it’s a good choice for those looking to explore a complete wreck without deep deco obligations. Despite its "dangerous wreck" classification, it’s mostly intact, offering plenty of nooks to peek into. Look for schools of cod sheltering in the wheelhouse and the occasional flatfish camouflaged on the sandy seabed nearby. The visibility can be variable, as is typical for the North Sea, so pick a calm day if you can.
