M 14 - North Sea Coast
The M 14 sits quietly at 26 metres, a German minesweeper sunk by a mine itself back in 1917. She’s a decent size at 56 metres long, quite impressive lying there on the seabed, and despite the age, much of her structure is still recognisable. We’ve found her to be a good site for those interested in maritime history, with plenty of nooks and crannies to explore. Expect to see cod and flatfish hunkering down in the wreckage, with anemones and sponges having made a solid home on the metal. This isn't a drift dive, but check local conditions for currents, as the North Sea can be unpredictable.
