With 95+ marine species recorded in the area - including seals & sea lions, sea turtles and jellyfish lake - Mulbjerg Grund offers some of North Sea Coast's richest reef diving. Water ranges 3-19°C, warmest July, August, September.
Mulbjerg Grund offers a look at a proper North Sea reef, which isn't always something you expect in Denmark. The main draw here is the reef structure itself and the creatures that call it home, like the occasional Atlantic cod lurking amongst the rocks or the delicate North Sea Tube Anemones swaying in the gentle surge. We’ve seen pipefish camouflaged in the algae and watched common shore crabs scuttling over the bottom. It's a solid dive for those who appreciate the subtle beauty of temperate waters and don't need tropical colours to feel engaged.
