NORDMEER - North Sea Coast

The Nordmeer isn't about deep dives or big pelagics. This is a shallow wreck, perfect for divers who love history and the eerie quiet of a resting vessel. What makes this a standout for us is the accessibility; at only six metres, you get fantastic bottom time to really absorb the atmosphere. We love tracing the outline of the old cutter, imagining it in its working days before it went down in January 1987. You’ll spend your dive poking around the superstructure, which still holds a surprising amount of detail. Visibility can vary, as it often does in the North Sea, but on a good day, the light penetration turns the wreck into a muted, silver-green sculpture. Look closely and you’ll spot crabs scuttling in crevices, and small schools of fish darting through the rusted metal. It’s a great site for photographers keen on capturing the somber beauty of a wreck, or for anyone who just enjoys a relaxed exploration without the pressure of depth. Our tip: go during slack tide for the best conditions and minimal current.
