PETER - North Sea Coast
Diving the Peter isn't a drift through a coral garden, it's a cold water journey into history. This lighter vessel, sunk by a mine in 1941, rests at a shallow 12 meters. We find her largely intact, a skeletal frame against the North Sea seabed, draped in the greens and browns of sea anemones and kelp. While the wreck itself is the star, we often spot wolfish lurking in the shadows, and schools of cod darting through the superstructure. It's a dive for those who appreciate the quiet drama of a historical wreck, where the elements have sculpted a new ecosystem from steel and time.
