RITA IRENE - North Sea Coast
Dropping onto the Rita Irene, you're immediately struck by how intact this old fishing vessel remains, settled upright on the seabed at 32 metres. It's not a massive wreck, but the wheelhouse and much of the superstructure are still there, making for some interesting swim-throughs if you're comfortable in overhead environments. We’ve found cod lurking in the holds and often see schools of pollack hanging above the deck. The visibility can be typical North Sea, meaning it varies, but on a good day, it’s a rewarding dive for those who appreciate seeing history preserved, and for a quieter dive away from the usual crowds.
