ROTA - North Sea Coast
The ROTA, a motor vessel mined back in May 1947, lies at a shallow 14 metres on the North Sea Coast. We consider it a decent wreck, mainly for the sense of history and the marine life that has made it home over the decades. You’ll find the wreck mostly broken up, but its scattered sections create plenty of nooks and crannies for crabs, blennies, and small schools of cod. It's an easy dive, good for newer wreck divers looking to get a feel for penetration or those who appreciate seeing how the sea reclaims what's lost. The visibility can be variable, as you'd expect in the North Sea, so pick a calm day if you can.
