Why dive here
With 95+ marine species recorded in the area - including seals & sea lions, sea turtles and jellyfish lake - RUTH offers some of North Sea Coast's richest wreck diving. Water ranges 3-19°C, warmest July, August, September.
The wreck of the RUTH sits in shallow water, around 8 metres deep, making it accessible for most divers. This isn't a grand, intact ship, but rather a scattered collection of twisted metal and wooden timbers, offering a glimpse into its dangerous past. Over the years, local fish have moved in, using the debris for shelter. It's a decent spot for a relaxed dive, particularly if you're keen on exploring how nature reclaims these man-made structures.
