SCT JORGEN - North Sea Coast
The SCT JORGEN sits upright on a sandy bottom, a steamship wreck with a grim history. It hit a mine and went down, now resting at a shallow 14 meters, making it quite accessible. We’ve found the stern section remarkably intact, with the prop shaft still visible, often draped in fishing nets. While the bow is largely broken up, there’s enough structure to explore, and the resident cod and blennies have made themselves at home in the nooks and crannies. It’s a good spot for a relaxed wreck dive, particularly for those new to shipwrecks in the North Sea. Just be mindful of those stray fishing lines, a common sight on many Danish wrecks.
