SELVIG - North Sea Coast
The Selvig, a merchant vessel, sits upright in just 12 metres of water off Denmark’s North Sea coast. We found this depth makes for a relaxed dive, even for newer wreck divers, though it’s officially classified as "dangerous" – mostly due to its age and potential for collapse, not strong currents. Visibility can vary, but on a good day, the ship's structure is surprisingly intact, offering plenty of nooks to explore. Look for the resident cod and lumpsuckers that have made it home, often tucked into the holds or around the deck where the metal is softening. It’s a good choice if you’re looking for a shallower wreck without the usual depth challenges.
