Why dive here
With 95+ marine species recorded in the area - including seals & sea lions, sea turtles and jellyfish lake - SMILET offers some of North Sea Coast's richest wreck diving. Water ranges 3-19°C, warmest July, August, September.
The wreck of SMILET lies at 16 meters off the North Sea Coast, a manageable depth for many divers. This 12-meter vessel is considered a dangerous wreck due to its condition, so we'd suggest experienced wreck divers looking for a proper penetration challenge. You’ll find crabs tucked into crevices and various fish species taking shelter amongst the broken hull plates. It's a real adventure for those who appreciate the history and the marine life that now calls it home.
