SOLOVEN (PART OF) - North Sea Coast
The Soloven, or what’s left of her, lies just two metres down off the North Sea Coast, making her a truly shallow dive. She was a patrol boat, and while classed as a "dangerous wreck" for navigation, for us divers it means an accessible peek into history. We've found the hull still offers shelter for various small fish and crabs, tucked into the twisted metal. It’s a site for those who appreciate the quiet intimacy of a very shallow wreck, where the light plays differently through the water, illuminating the remains of a vessel that once patrolled these very waters.
