With 95+ marine species recorded in the area - including seals & sea lions, sea turtles and jellyfish lake - SVEND DAHL offers some of North Sea Coast's richest wreck diving. Water ranges 3-19°C, warmest July, August, September.
The Svend Dahl sits upright in 19 metres of water, a fishing trawler that went down in 1945 after springing a leak. We think it’s a pretty decent introduction to wreck diving in the North Sea. The main hull structure is still quite intact, offering some interesting swim-throughs if you're comfortable with overhead environments. Expect to see plenty of cod and pollock hanging around the superstructure, and the occasional lumpfish tucked into a crevice. It’s a site that gives you a genuine sense of history and the power of the sea without being overly challenging.
