THORVALD - North Sea Coast
The Thorvald, a former fishing vessel, lies upright at 16 meters, making it a good North Sea wreck dive for many experience levels. You’ll find the bow facing northeast, often attracting a surprising amount of fish sheltering in the wheelhouse and around the mast. The structure is mostly intact, offering a chance to peek into the hold, where we’ve seen some decent-sized cod hanging out. It’s a site that changes with the seasons; in summer, the light penetrates nicely, highlighting the anemones and small crabs that have made the wreck their home. For a relatively shallow wreck, it offers a solid hour of exploration.
