TINNA BRUUS - North Sea Coast

The *Tinna Bruus* is a properly moody North Sea wreck, and we love it for that. She's a fishing vessel, sitting upright at 19 metres, deep enough to feel like a proper dive but not so deep you're watching your bottom time constantly. We've always found the visibility here to be a bit of a lottery, sometimes 10 metres, sometimes more like three, but that just adds to the atmosphere. Dropping down onto the wheelhouse is always a treat. It’s still relatively intact, and you can peer inside, imagining the last moments. The whole wreck is encrusted in anemones and dead man's fingers, giving it this fantastic, shaggy appearance. Ling and cod lurk in the shadows, particularly towards the stern, and we've often seen sizeable conger eels tucked into the deeper parts of the hull. It’s a site for divers who appreciate history and don't mind a bit of a chill; the character of the wreck itself is the main draw, not colourful reef fish. We’d suggest a good dive light to really pick out the details in the holds.
