TOPSY - North Sea Coast
The Topsy, a coaster that went down in 1978, rests upright at 30 meters off the North Sea Coast. We think it’s a good choice for those who appreciate a wreck with a bit of history and don't mind the chillier Nordic waters. You can descend onto the deck, which is relatively intact for a wreck of its age, and peer into the holds. They’re usually filled with shoals of cod and pollock, sometimes even a curious ling. The structure itself, about 40 meters long, has become a home for anemones and mussels, giving it a rough, textured look. It’s a solid dive, offering a good glimpse into the working life of these old vessels.
