The WESER, a fishing vessel resting at a mere 2 meters, offers a fascinating glimpse into the North Sea’s working past. Despite its shallow depth, this wreck has taken on a life of its own; crabs scuttle among the twisted metal, and small shoals of fish dart through the open sections of the hull. It’s a site that really makes you appreciate how quickly the sea reclaims what’s hers. We think it’s a brilliant spot for newer divers looking to get their first taste of wreck diving without the usual depth challenges, or for anyone keen on a relaxed, shallow exploration where you can really take your time observing the detail. Just remember to check local conditions, as the North Sea can be a bit temperamental with visibility.
