Intro Dive - Alonissos Marine Park
The team at Intro Dive on Alonissos are exactly the kind of people we love to dive with: enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and always up for a chat about what’s happening underwater. They run a tight ship, keeping groups small, which means less fin-kicking chaos and more actual diving. We really appreciate their focus on technical and sidemount, it’s not something every centre in Greece offers, and they do it well, with solid instruction and good gear. For us, the real draw is their access to the Alonissos Marine Park. We’ve seen octopuses here the size of dinner plates, just lurking in the crevices, and the schooling barracuda can be incredible, sometimes so thick they turn the light a hazy silver. Our favourite sites often involve some of the deeper pinnacles, where you can feel that slight pull of current, bringing in the nutrients and, inevitably, the bigger fish. They’re great at finding those quieter spots, too, where you can just drift along a reef wall, listening to the crackle of snapping shrimp and watching the light play on the sponges. Intro Dive is a solid choice if you’re looking for proper diving, whether you’re learning the ropes or pushing your depth limits.
