FLORA is a wreck dive where divers can encounter dolphins and sea turtles. Water ranges 15-26°C, warmest July, August, September.
Flora is a good pick if you’re looking for a relaxed wreck dive in Alonissos. She went down in 1959, stranded during heavy weather while heading north, and now rests at a comfortable 20 metres. You’ll find her scattered, a testament to those rough seas, but the remains offer plenty of nooks for moray eels and groupers. Schools of damselfish often hang above the main sections. We think it’s a site that really shows how quickly the Mediterranean reclaims things, making it a thoughtful dive for anyone who enjoys wreck history and the wildlife that moves in.
