    Elephant Cave is a freshwater-filled cavern on the northwest coast of Crete. We fin through a narrow entrance, then surface inside a large chamber where stalagmites and stalactites meet the water, some fossilized elephant bones visible above and below the waterline. It’s a pretty unique dive for those who enjoy cavern exploration and a touch of archaeology. The site is sheltered, making it suitable for divers comfortable in overhead environments.
