TENARON (TAINARON) S - Dodecanese
The Tenaron S wreck, off Karpathos, isn't one of those deep, dramatic dives. This motor vessel went down in 1980, running aground before sinking, and now rests in very shallow water, practically at the surface. It’s an interesting spot for a snorkel or a very shallow dive, perhaps as a second dive after something deeper. We’ve seen small schools of damselfish darting through its skeletal remains, and occasionally a curious octopus tucked into a crevice. It’s a good choice for newer divers looking for an easy wreck experience, or anyone wanting a relaxed exploration without much bottom time commitment.
