Kowloon Bridge Wreck - South Coast

Okay, so the Kowloon Bridge. This isn't your average wreck dive. We’re talking about one of the largest wrecks in Europe, a seriously big vessel that came to grief off the Irish coast. Dropping down, the sheer scale of the thing hits you – a massive pile of twisted metal, a testament to the sea's power. It’s dark, it’s deep, and it’s often got a decent current running, so this one's definitely for experienced wreck heads who are comfortable in challenging conditions. What makes it special? For us, it’s the sense of adventure, navigating through the various sections. You'll find huge shoals of pollock darting through the superstructure, conger eels peering from every dark recess, and a surprisingly colourful growth of anemones and dead man’s fingers clinging to the steel. We love exploring the huge engine room, though it’s a penetration for the seriously advanced. Our tip: go on a slack tide, if you can time it right, to fully appreciate the wreck without fighting the surge. It's a proper expedition, not a casual drift.
