ROUSSALKA - West Coast
The Roussalka, an ex-cross channel ferry once owned by the Guinness family, lies at 22 metres off the West Coast of Ireland. This 83.2-metre yacht went down after reportedly hitting an underwater obstruction, making for a substantial dive. We often find the wreck draped in fishing nets, home to plenty of conger eels tucked into nooks and crannies, and spider crabs scuttling over the decaying structure. It’s a good one for experienced wreck divers who appreciate a bit of history and don't mind the chillier Atlantic waters. Just be mindful of potential entanglements; it is classified as a dangerous wreck for a reason.
