SHAUN SHAUN - West Coast
The Shaun Shaun, a fishing vessel that went down in 2008, sits upright at 28 metres, making for a straightforward dive. We like it because it’s a relatively intact wreck, allowing for some decent penetration into the wheelhouse and accommodation blocks if you’re comfortable with overhead environments. Since its sinking, it’s become home to plenty of conger eels tucked into every nook and cranny, and we’ve often spotted dogfish patrolling the sandy seabed around the bow. It’s a solid pick for wreck enthusiasts looking for a bit of exploration off Ireland’s west coast.
