With 169+ marine species recorded in the area - including dolphins, dwarf minke whales, humpback whales, ocean sunfish (mola mola) and octopuses - Sick mans rock offers some of West Coast's richest diving. Water ranges 8-17°C, warmest July, August, September.
Sick Man’s Rock, off Ireland’s west coast, offers a solid rocky reef dive. The site tends to have good kelp coverage and plenty of the usual suspects you'd expect in these cooler waters, like wrasse and gobies poking about. We've often found it a reliable spot for a calm, easy dive when conditions elsewhere are a bit rougher. It's a straightforward dive, well-suited for those looking for a relaxed exploration of a typical Irish reef.
