SKIFJORD - West Coast
The Skifjord, a 39-meter trawler, went down in 1981 and now rests at a max depth of 25 meters off Ireland’s west coast. It's a proper wreck dive, with a strong, solid hull that has held up well over the decades. We’ve found the stern section particularly interesting, still quite intact, offering some decent swim-throughs if you're comfortable with overhead environments. Expect to see plenty of wrasse darting in and out of the plating and some surprisingly large conger eels tucked into the darker corners. It's a great spot for advanced open water divers looking for a good wreck, especially when the visibility picks up, which can happen here later in the summer.
