STELLA MARINA - Portofino & Liguria

The Stella Marina, a trawler sunk after a collision in dense fog, rests at 60 meters, making this a deep dive for experienced technical divers. We’ve found her upright and largely intact, a somber but fascinating sight with the wheelhouse still recognisable. Over the decades, Mediterranean gorgonians have taken hold, especially around the stern, creating bursts of colour against the hull’s patina. You'll likely see schools of barracuda circling the mast, and the occasional inquisitive John Dory peering from the shadows. It’s a quiet, reflective dive, perfect for those who appreciate the history of a wreck and the slow reclamation by the sea.
