UNA 1 - Portofino & Liguria

UNA 1 is a peculiar wreck, often overlooked in favour of Portofino's reef dives, but it holds a certain charm. This freighter, which ran aground back in 1978, now sits upright on a shallow sandy bottom, the stern no deeper than 5 metres. It’s an ideal spot for extended dives, especially if you’re into photography or just want to spend some quality time exploring the deck and superstructure. The relatively intact hull offers plenty of nooks and crannies, and while not brimming with large pelagics, you’ll find plenty of resident blennies, gobies, and small schooling fish that have made the wreck their home.
