Madonna Statue Dive Site - Comino

Comino’s Madonna Statue site is a steady favourite for us, mainly because it’s just so reliably pleasant. You're dropping onto a sandy bottom where the statue sits, and the visibility tends to be pretty good here, often around 15-20 metres, making it an easy spot for photography. Look for the local wrasse – the ornate wrasse are particularly colourful – and schools of salema drift past. We often see painted comber tucked into rocky crevices, and dusky groupers have made an appearance on a good day. It’s a gentle dive, suited for those wanting something relaxed, maybe a second dive of the day, with minimal current to worry about.
