TRANS POLLUX - Comino

We love the *Trans Pollux* for its sheer approachability. Tucked away on the north side of Comino, this isn't a deep dive, sitting at a comfortable 15 meters, making it ideal for newer wreck enthusiasts or those wanting a relaxed second dive. What you'll find is the skeletal remains of a small ferry, scuttled back in 1999 to become an artificial reef. It’s less about penetration here, more about circling the intact hull, taking in the way light filters through the remaining deck structures. Our favourite part is the engine room, surprisingly open and easy to peer into, giving you a glimpse of its past life. Look closely and you’ll spot octopuses tucked into crevices, moray eels peeking from pipes, and often schools of damselfish flitting through the superstructure. Visibility here is usually excellent, giving you a clear view of the wreck from bow to stern. We’d suggest going in the late morning, after the initial dive boats have dispersed, for a quieter experience. It’s a gentle introduction to wreck diving, with enough character to keep you engaged.
