Nerja Dive Resort SL - Al Hoceima
The team at Nerja Dive Resort SL are the sort of welcoming crew you want when diving somewhere new. Based in Al Hoceima, they really know these Moroccan waters, and it shows in their relaxed but professional approach. If you’re looking to push past your Open Water, or even go pro, this PADI 5 Star IDC Resort is a solid choice. They specialise in developing confident divers, making them ideal for anyone serious about improving their skills. We love that they’re not just about ticking off dives, but about building genuine comfort in the water. One of our favourite sites with them involves a drift along a wall where sunlight filters through schools of barracuda, creating shimmering curtains – it’s genuinely magical. You'll often find nudibranchs clinging to the gorgonians, and we’ve even spotted sunfish out in the blue if you keep an eye out. Conditions here can sometimes surprise you with a bit of current, but the Nerja guides manage it well, always finding the calmer pockets or suggesting the perfect time of day. We’d suggest going in late spring for the best visibility and a good chance of seeing the bigger pelagics before the summer crowds really hit.
