SKARHEIM - Lofoten Islands
Skarheim in the Lofoten Islands gives you a different kind of wreck dive. It’s a merchant vessel, not a grand battleship, but that’s its charm – a working boat at only six metres depth. We found it’s a brilliant spot for getting comfortable with wreck penetration, or just enjoying a long, easy dive. The hull is fairly intact, providing lots of nooks and crannies that have become home to cod, wrasse, and plenty of those colourful nudibranchs Norway is known for. You can take your time exploring the deck fittings and imagining the ship’s past life, all without worrying about deep stops or tricky currents. It's an accessible wreck, perfect for a relaxed afternoon.
