The Arco de Formentera offers a Mediterranean dive that’s reliably interesting, especially for divers who appreciate the subtler beauty of the region. We typically find the eponymous archway itself is the main draw, a dramatic swim-through carved by time. Look closely in the cracks and shadows here for broadnosed pipefish and maybe a seahorse if you’re lucky. We've often spotted sand steenbras darting along the bottom, and the occasional loggerhead turtle might cruise past, particularly in summer.
