CB Alisub - Cabo de Palos

CB Alisub, just off Cabo de Palos, isn't always the first name you hear, but for us, it’s a real contender. We love it because it’s a beautiful spot for just soaking up the Mediterranean vibe. Forget the deep wrecks for a moment; here, it’s all about the rock formations and the smaller, shyer residents. The topography is gently sloping, with little caves and crevices perfect for snooping. We often find marbled electric rays nestled in the sand, and the deeper-body pickarel school here in impressive numbers. Keep an eye out for sea horses clinging to the gorgonians – they’re masters of camouflage, so take your time. Visibility usually hangs around 15-20 meters, and the current is generally mild, making it a relaxed dive. We’d suggest going in the late morning, after the initial boat rush, when the sun penetrates nicely into the nooks. It’s perfect for those who appreciate macro life and a slower pace, rather than the pelagic hunters.
