DOMINGO JIMENEZ - Cabo de Palos

The Domingo Jimenez is pure Cabo de Palos charm, a shallow-water wreck that feels like a secret garden. We’d classify it as a dangerous wreck, but only because it’s so easy to spend too much time here and run low on air. Sitting at a mere five metres, it’s a brilliant second dive or a relaxed spot for newer divers to get comfortable around a proper wreck. You don't need to be deep to find atmosphere; the light filtering through the mast and superstructure creates these dancing patterns across the sand, and it’s genuinely lovely. You’re exploring what’s left of a fishing boat, but time and the sea have turned it into something else entirely. Schools of damselfish flutter through the gaps, and we always spot a few moray eels peeking out from under a plate or beam. It's a fantastic spot for photographers too, especially early in the morning before the day boats arrive. The currents here are usually negligible, making it a calm, unhurried dive, perfect for just observing and soaking it all in.
