Escollera del Puerto - Cabo de Palos

The Escollera del Puerto, or the harbour wall, is a surprisingly good entry point for divers just getting their fins wet in Cabo de Palos. Dropping down to about 14 metres, it’s a gentle spot, perfect for getting comfortable with buoyancy or testing out new gear. You won't find dramatic drop-offs here, but the rocks and small sandy patches are home to some fascinating critters if you take your time. We’ve spotted octopus tucked into crevices, small schools of barracuda cruising past, and plenty of nudibranchs if you have a good eye. It’s a relaxed dive, usually sheltered, making it ideal for beginners or those looking for an easy afternoon under the surface.
