Why dive here
With 189+ marine species recorded in the area - including dolphins, mobula rays (devil rays), ocean sunfish (mola mola), octopuses and sea turtles - La Calita offers some of Cabo de Palos's richest diving. Water ranges 15-28°C, warmest July, August, September.
La Calita offers a straightforward Mediterranean dive from shore, perfect for a relaxed afternoon. You’ll find a mix of rocky seafloor and some scattered Posidonia meadows, often home to small octopuses and blennies. It’s a good spot for newer divers or those looking for an easy entry and exit, without strong currents. We often use it for checking gear after a boat trip.
